The aim of counselling is to provide clients with a safe, supportive, confidential environment in which they are able to talk openly about their lives. Counselling offers time dedicated to you to help you work through issues that may be affecting you, such as feeling sad, anxious, or unable to cope. A counsellor will creatively use skills and techniques in order to facilitate new insight and change.
As a psychotherapeutic counsellor, my belief is that each person is unique with the potential for change and growth. Therefore counselling can be beneficial for those wishing to explore their own inner worlds and ways of relating to facilitate choice, growth and potential.
